ORADELL Information:
This borough of about 8,000 people nestled up to the Oradell Reservoir, on the Hackensack River, between Emerson & New Milford, was incorporated in 1894 as Delford, New Jersey. It was Daniel Demarest, Oradell's 2nd mayor, who is credited with giving the community its present name. Oradell has a lovely downtown that was recently renovated with new brick sidewalks, Victorian-style lighting, benches and flowering trees.
